IBS Education: In Demand & Better Than Ever!

How did attendees get their education fix at IBS 2016? 

  • New in 2016! Experiential learning provided attendees with a new experience in learning, including peer-to-peer and attendee-driven learning, such as group-talks and crowdsourced programs, and interactive education rooms.
  • Thousands of building professionals attended more than 120+ education sessions from 8 tracks that covered the breadth of the entire building industry.
  • Each day, many new solutions were discovered through networking breakfasts and coffee chats at the six Centrals.
  • Attendees enjoyed the new innovation hub, an education session room where they heard about the latest innovations in technology, materials, building materials and financing.
  • Those seeking longer education sessions attended the Building Knowledge & Spotlight Sessions, 60- and 90-minute sessions covering design, sales, remodeling, high performance building, finance and more.
  • Master Sessions and Plan Reviews were also popular. Attendees had time to full explore an advanced top in a smaller sized class for an optimal experience. They consulted with top designers and architects during the Plan Reviews.
  • The High Performance Building Zone (HPBZ) was the hottest “zone” on the show floor, attendees watched live, interactive construction demos showcasing the latest methods, tips and tricks used in high performance building technique. They also got to see cutting-edge seminars and network with fellow builders.
